Finally good Ice, Who’s going?

I was over at Assunpink and there is about 4” couple days ago. So hopefully I will get out on the hard water tomorrow or Saturday. Who’s carrying shiners in Central Jersey now? I haven’t checked yet?

Was out today in Central Jersey. Fishing was good. Only place I know of to get minnows around here is Animals and Gardens Unlimited in New Egypt

Kid jigged a limit of crappie

I went out Friday afternoon for a little bit. Caught crappie, white and yellow perch. Went back Saturday with (Spearfish) and it was a lot slower. Couple bass a crappie. Got warm and the snow on top melted which made it went out there. With the temps this week we should have decent ice for a little while as long as we don’t get too much snow. Snow actually prevents it from building more ice it we get any amount of. Also had a couple Great Blue Herons out looking for free meals. I did throw the one a couple dead shiners.

We should have a month of safe ice in north Jersey. It’s been safe for 10 days plus and getting thicker by the day.

To each his own, but the only ice I like is in my drink.

Had 6in of ice on a small pond up north , caught a few bass and a bunch of tiny bluegill.
