The outfitter I hunt with has an opening for 5 guys for the 2025 Illinois shotgun season.

The dates are as follows November 21,22 and 23.  Fri Sat Sun before Thanksgiving.

The guys that had the farm are hunting Canada this year so they are giving up their spots.

The cost per hunter is $3200 + license and tags- roughly $400.

This includes lodging in a cabin on the farm.

Meals are catered , everyone pitches in to pay the caterer.

140 inch minimum on all bucks. If you shoot something smaller there is a $500 penalty.

there are 5 guys per week on this farm- 3 weeks of bow and the shotgun season.

The farm is located in Macoupin County about an hour south of Springfield.

The property is 800 acres with 90 percent of that being timber surrounded by farms that are about 80 percent crops.

You can contact me by pm if you need more info or I can put you in contact with the outfitter direct if you want to book.

You need a $500 deposit now and 2 payments over the course of the year to pay the difference.

I will add some pics and an aerial of the farm.

There are also a few remaining bowhunts left scattered across different farms but not many.

Most of these guys rebook every year.

Thanks TC

Hey TC, will you be on this hunt or are the 5 full spots open. Thanks

I will not. I have a farm I'm hunting now with 2 ww members.

They been going for a couple years now.

We only have 3 spots and I take them all.

Good opportunity for a group to hunt every year

I've gone with this outfitter for 3 years and this farm has done well over that time.

I would be jumping all over this farm if it wasn't for seeing the increase in quality at the farm I am at now.

I personally like the way the outfitter runs his operation. They do a lot of the work prior to the season and then right before the season it's fine tuning stand locations etc. Vey low pressure. They only hunt it one month out of the year so they aren't just turning and burning clients for the entire hunting season to make money. This year they put in food plots in key areas and it definitely held the deer on the farm so they still make improvements.  As TC said in camp this year, you want to feel you are getting a fair shot and I feel our guide does that.

Bowhunter96 and Split rock pms returned.

You guys should contact each other.

Between the 2 of you guys you could fill the week.

That's assuming the 5 gun hunts are still available.

They won't last long.

Guys wait years to get on the better farms.

This one is at the top.

If you want to talk to one of the guys from woods and water that hunts with  me,

Pm mpdiesel.

Ask him how many bucks he sees on a 3 day gun hunt.

I'd tell you but you wouldn't believe me lol.

The farm we hunt they have only had it 4 years.

ITB hunters killed 2 booners off it so far.

The neighbors killed a booner last year that I saw on my hunt but couldn't get a shot.

It has such great potential, we are sticking it out this year otherwise our 3 guys would be on this hunt
