Just got this month’s bill. Looks like they have instituted new fees. Now the only way to not pay the “service fee” is to enroll in auto payments. You can’t pay by phone, ACH Draft, Debit Card, Check, or any other option to avoid the fee. Having a fee to Pay Your Bill is ridiculous. I don’t like to have any bills on Auto Pay, especially a bill that adjusts month to month. Only thing I have auto pay for is my mortgage. I’ll call them tomorrow to confirm this is the case. Anyone else notice this? I’ll file a complaint with the BOU if this is the case. See what they say.  I don’t think it’s right.

I haven't recvd this months bill yet but thanks for the heads up , i dont like to have any place with my CC or bank info on file seeing how company's cant secure shit .

They and many other utilities do this, it's allowed sadly. Honestly I just paid my JCP&L and didn't take notice it's on autopsy.

Verizon Wireless bill is on autopay,  $10 off with it, but I pay it before the due date online with my checking account & no fee if I used say a credit card

I was going to pay my JCPL bill this morning and saw the same thing, I was going to pay it week early but now they can wait until the due day

It's a JCPL sub contractor "Speedpay" getting the fee. When you pay it, they ask for all your banking info AGAIN. Just another hard drive somewhere and your banking data can be compromised.  It SUCKS !!

Jcpl sucks. I can go on and on. They let an issue persist claiming it’s fine on their meter and must be on my end. Guy says this as my house is strobing. Few electricians later all blaming Jcpl and a couple new appliances Jcpl finally says oh yeah our neutral wire is broken to your house underground. They fixed that but I was out the appliances and 1k in a few electricians combing my home over every switch, outlet, breaker, panel etc.  ugh lol.

That’s terrible. I never had an issue with PSE&G. I hate JCPL. Customer service is terrible.
