I’m surprised that lake doesn’t have very safe ice. The private lake I was on yesterday had 4.5” - 5.5” of ice, ample for ice fishing.

Went past Round Valley this morning .

100% open .

yet a lot is iced in down here at the shore .weird

Isn’t even ice in shallow coves .

usually ice at boat ramps .

Very few years that is freezes over entirely

They were ice fishing monksville yesterday by the trees. A little too moist for my liking.

Ice fisherman last few days at round valley swimming area in the closest cove to the road. 3 out in the snow today

Guys out with quads on hopatcong yesterday had 10” where I was.  Will be back next weekend and I’m expecting 15”plus with the single and negative temps over next few days.
