I shot a buck during the early muzzle loader season ( I think it was 2017). I took him to Van Syckels Road in Clinton where the state was checking deer for an invasive tick. In the picture those are guys from the state checking out the deer. They assured me that the deer was safe to eat, I assured them that I would not eat it, and then I donated it to the State Fish & Game so they could do testing to it. They told me when they were done testing it they would incinerate it. I asked if it was safe to eat why wouldn't one of them eat it, and they all told me they didn't want to take any chances.
