NJNewbie Posted January 10 Posted January 10 Hunted last sat in pretty cold conditions. Engine ran great, got it back to the house and went to flush it, no water coming out the tell tale. I started it up a few times and let it run for up to 30seconds at idle. I was thinking the line could be frozen but this didnt seem to work. Any suggestions?
Bonefreak Posted January 10 Posted January 10 Water pump clogged or shot. How old is it? Ever change the water pump/impeller? Impeller tube clogged or pisshole where it pisses out clogged. Try it in forward n reverse while running maybe that will get impeller moving. Tarhunt and NJNewbie 1 1
NJNewbie Posted January 10 Author Posted January 10 ITs a 2020 with pretty low hours, I have not replaced the impeller or the pump. Bonefreak 1

tuny Posted January 10 Posted January 10 Get a piece of thin wire and shove it up the hole where the water is supposed to come out, or disconnect the hose from the little bracket that hods it and let the water pump out of the hose directly Bonefreak and gregtpal 1 1
CJ3a Posted January 10 Posted January 10 Weed wacker line works MikeStaten, Bubba254 and rocky 3 I spent most of my money on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.
Squid13 Posted January 10 Posted January 10 Heavy monofilament works great for cleaning out the pisser hole. Make sure the engine is running and has water.
res3301 Posted January 10 Posted January 10 It could be frozen. As others said wire in the hose should clear any clog. If you can't get the wire in far it's probably frozen. We're you in shallow water? Did you stir up mud and sand? Last year I went fishing with Salvador Dali. He was using a dotted line. He caught every other fish. -Steven Wright
NJNewbie Posted January 10 Author Posted January 10 The ramp where we pulled out was pretty shallow, but I dont think i was sucking up mud or sand, I'm going to try all the the mentioned solutions tonight, will update the thread then. res3301 1
NJNewbie Posted January 11 Author Posted January 11 I ran some weed whacker wire down the tell tale spout. I could only get about 5 inches down, I’m not sure if it’s blocked or just frozen or maybe that’s as far as it will go. went to test it but all my hoses are frozen solid.

Sunday looks like 40 degrees. Let it warm up or bring it in some where warm Last year I went fishing with Salvador Dali. He was using a dotted line. He caught every other fish. -Steven Wright
Bonefreak Posted January 11 Posted January 11 I use piano wire to clean out the pisser. Any type of spray u can shoot down there…de-icer, brake cleaner, etc…as long that it doesn’t affect plastics of impeller??
NJNewbie Posted January 11 Author Posted January 11 Got the hose unfrozen, we are in the clear! Tell tale is pissing. I think the line was just frozen. res3301, Tarhunt and Bonefreak 3
