I'm in warren and I get water in almost all my cams. My point being, you shouldn't. Weather they will fix or replace for u, u shouldn't have these issues at all when paying for a "quality" camera. Im just disappointed in them. And it's my fault. I had issues with the 2.0 gen 2 and still bought the 3.0 pros thinking they fixed the issues. I should've waited a while to buy them but I needed more cams and didn't wanna have 2 subscriptions from another company and tactacam.

I run a cam here in NJ and one up in Maine. Never had the issue with water getting in. Had some issues with setup when I was changing between att/vzw and that was a bummer because it happened when both cams were in Maine and I didn't know it was fubar'd until I was back in NJ... and of course the issue had to be fixed locally on the cam.

Although one of the solar panels is weak the battery pack seems to last a very long time. My one cam is always at 95%+ without direct sunlight on the solar cell. The other one has been teetering around 20% for a few months, also doesn't get direct sunlight. It's at 10% now but still capturing deer.

When you guys say they are missing pictures with deer coming straight at camera is camera taking pictures and noting there? Or not take pictures at all, we have 7 cameras and often times we get picture of no deer, squirrels or anything

Idk how many times I get a pic of nothing on tactacam and ny browning pics up the deer walking by. Its like by the time tactacams motion sensor picks up the movement and the cam actually snaps the pic, the deers already past the camera while my browning cam on same tree caught the picture. I think tactacam needs a better motion sensor and upgrade the timing between when the sensor goes off n the cam snaps the pic.

Wrong...Shop around i got two 3.0 pros for $83 each tax included....

I'm not wrong lol I have the receipts to show u what I paid on my debit card lol. Maybe where u live u can get a tactacam for 83.00 and if u can, ill send u the money and u send me back 5! No offense but I'm calling BS on that price. I just spent a half hour searching the web and couldn't find a single tactacam for under 119.00. The only possible way I can think u got it for 83.00 is from Amazon where someone bought it for the regular price, received it, the box was damaged and the cam packaging was damaged, they returned it and Amazon sold it at a discounted price which is how I just got my Dyson Vacuum. It's originally 599.99 but was on Amazon for 399.99 because the original vacuum box was damaged in shipment and the customer refused delivery or sent it back, Amazon checked the vacuum, everything was good except the box and they sold it at a discounted price. Other than that, I have no clue where or how u got them for 83.00 and no wonder ur not complaining about them, u only paid 83.00, I wouldnt be complaining about them either for that price. If u can, let me know where u got them for 83.00 and I will look it up and order some. Thank you!

I waited for mine to go on sale as they normally do. Reveal x 2.0 retails at 120$ on sale to 99 - so i mean $30?

I mean i'd be pissed with your situation as well and i hope tactacam works with you on it but its not like you paid for Spartans.

I agree 100%. It's not that they aren't "spartan" cams. It's the fact that tactacam and all the people that post reviews praise how good the quality of the cam is and how great it is at taking pics. So u do ur research, believe what u read, buy the cams to find out they aren't what they were made out to be and then call cust service and their questions seem like they r trying to blame u for the lack of quality and performance. Like when I had the batter issue, they asked "what chord are u using to charge them?" Ummm, the one u gave me with the battery! "What plug are u using?" Well, I'm not using the one u gave me cause u didn't give me one, I'm using the USB outlet built into my wall over my kitchen counter! What amp, voltage and Hz is that outlet?" Idk dude, I'm not an electrician but ill tell u this, it passed inspection when I bought this house so I'm pretty sure it's up to regulations. "Ok, we'll, where are u storing the batteries?" I'm storing them in a room in my finished basement. What does that matter where I'm storing them, they r in the camera until they die, then I take it out, put a spare that's supposed to be fully charged in, take the dead one, charge it, leave it on the desk in my finished basement and when the one in the cam is about to die, I recharge the battery in the house, put it back in the camera outside and it's only charged 90%! If it's ok to leave it outside in a camera for 2 to 3 weeks before it dies in the freezing cold, rain, snow and wind, I'm pretty sure it's perfectly fine on the desk in my basement where it's about 75 to 80 degrees depending on how hot I keep my wood stove and no, it's not close to my wood stove, it's on the opposite side of them room. Do u mean to tell me out of allllllll the battery packs and cameras u sold over the years I'm the ONLY PERSON in the world to call and say I'm only getting a 90% charge on my batteries? "No, I'm not saying that at all. Actually we get quite a few calls about it and its common for people to be using the wrong plug to charge the batteries." Well, u know what would solve that issue? Give them the right plug when they buy the cameras, even if u have to charge another 2.00, give the right plug and it'll save u calls and save u from sending out replacement batteries! "I don't control that Sir, but ill make a note of it in our system!" OK thanks, and I'm sure the ceo will read it. "Send us back the batteries and we will send u out replacement batteries!" OK thank u for ur help. I receive the new batteries, charge them, put them in the camera, 90%! So obviously there's an issue with these battery packs they r selling or they were manufactured to only charge to 90%. Forget about going through the issues I have with the cameras with cust support, according to them, it's entirely my fault like no one else ever called them having issues with their cameras. Just highly disappointing for a camera that's supposed to be "one of if not the best cell phone cameras out there!" Customers shouldn't be having these issues with a camera that's supposed to be one of the highest quality cameras out there. I can understand missing some pics, maybe the deer was running. Maybe the sensor was dirty but when my 90.00 browing camera is picking up more than my 149.00 tactacam on the same exact tree, there's an issue with the quality of the tactacams.

I went on a bit of a rant there, I apologize but this annoys me when cust service trys to blame the customer instead of admitting some fault may b in the cameras and documenting it to maybe fix the issues.

You can call BS on what I pay, but I no reason to lie and others on here can confirm the prices I find them for

There are products on Amazon that sell used, just be careful not to click on that TAB

Moultrie is my favorite the battery’s don’t last as long but they pick up most pictures.

I have two moultrie's set up on a bait pile, same camera model, same settings, just different angles.  One of the cameras contract ends in January so I just put it up to see what would happen.

I cant tell you how many times in the last month one of the two camera's did not take a photo. In one case the subject was a 300+ lb bear, yup one camera missed the bear completely.

There is no pattern that I can see when one takes the shot and one doesnt, looks completely random.

Crazy.
