haven't had any issues when switching to Tactacam reveals. i havent tried the new one yet. I don't get the price comment - hunting gear is expensive - for $100 i think you get a solid camera. ANd none of them are perfect no matter how many of them post about it.

I think Moultrie's are awesome but their plan seems to be pretty costly, even more than tactacams

I had more issues with Spypoint than i cared for, but they have the best plan in comparison to the others.

But definitely keep toggling with settings. I haven't had a water issue at all and mine are up in sussex

If running multiple cams spypoint is the way to go.  Join club for 100 and get 250 pics on every cam u have and discount on plans.  Just have to make sure you do the updates

I have 4. I got 2 of the 2.0's. They worked great for the first two years. Now both stopped sending pictures. Tactacam ran me through a troubleshoot and it didn't work. Asked me if they got the latest firmware update. I told them I didn't. Then they said well the firmware update doesn't matter because the camera will still work without the update. Right now I have to go to the camera and pull the SD cards to see what's going on. I ended up cancelling the plan on those cameras so its like having a regular digital camera.

Before the 2.0's stopped working, I got 2 of the 3.0 Pro's. The 3.0's miss a lot of pictures. I put a Covert camera right above it and the Covert camera had 150 more pictures in about 10 days time. I also noticed the 3.0's will stop sending check in pictures and you have to go back and reapply the settings. Takes 20 seconds but just annoying.

I'll be contacting Tactacam after the season for my 2.0's to see if I need to send them back for repair. But going forward I will be moving away from Tactacam.

Just had an issue with an older tactacam xb. Was out of warranty so tactacam told me they have a trade in program. Send in my broken Xb and got a good deal on a 3.0 pro. Their customer service is great. If they can't fix it they will get you a new one, and if warranty is up you can trade it in.

When you guys say they are missing pictures with deer coming straight at camera is camera taking pictures and noting there? Or not take pictures at all, we have 7 cameras and often times we get picture of no deer, squirrels or anything

I never had any issues mentioned and I have owned all but one model tactacam over the years

Which Moultrie do you have? I was looking into switching and tried the Moultrie Edge. I wasn't impressed enough to want to make a big switch.

I have the moultrie edge, pro, and 2 I personally think they made great improvements with the 2’s

It won’t take a picture. Some times it does but sometimes it won’t. I have a few spots that doesn’t really get service on cell phone but trail cameras get service and when my buddies go into a spot we always walk past the cams and on multiple occasions it won’t pick up the photo

When you compared the two cameras side by side, was the other a cell camera, or was it a traditional camera?

charging the batteries what wire are you using to charge?

As far as the water intrusion, call Tactacam they very well fix the seal, and or replace the camera. I have many rechargeable batteries made by Tactacam got them on clearance sale, and I also purchased six aftermarket ones off Temu ,  they work and for 1/2 price worth it for me

I love the Tactacams, which I have been using for many years after trying/testing out many brands, and models. I purchased the 3.0 Pro when it first came out and it worked great but the power button wouldn't work to turn on/off, pull the battery out/in and it turned on/off, called them they went through the BS steps and it was determined a replace would be sent, did the paperwork and within a week a new 3.0 Pro was delivered

I'm using the wire that came with the battery when I bought them. I've dealt with customer service on a few occasions like mentioned in my post. They seem to try and blame you with their questions before taking any ownership of the malfunction. Like with my batteries, they had me send them pictures of my outlets, the wire I was charging with and if I was using a plug, what plug. I told them, if u want people to use the right equipment, such as a plug to plug the wire into a wall, u should give it to them with the camera. U dont see apple or Samsung selling phone with no charging cables and then blaming people for using the wrong cabel when the phone breaks. I'm surprised they didn't ask for the electrical inspection report when I bought my house to make sure the wires in the wall were the right wires lol.

There’s a few people on here that love tactacam to a point that they see no wrong personally I use to love them but once I started trying other cameras i’ll never go back. Moultrie is my favorite the battery’s don’t last as long but they pick up most pictures. I found tactacams have a real hard time picking up pictures that come from the side or if something is slowly grazing coming straight on it seems those are its biggest weakness.

My nephew uses the Moultrie cell cams and the picture quality is just as good if not better than tactacam. He has the same problem with the batteries. Only thing is I wish they had more settings on the Moultrie cams to help batteries last longer. Then again, my tactacam batteries last about the same amount of time. Some nights I gets 400 500 pics per cam at 30 second intervals and I really don't like running 30 sec intervals because that big buck could cruise by in 15 seconds after the last Pic with grazing does and you'll never know.

I'm in warren and I get water in almost all my cams. My point being, you shouldn't. Weather they will fix or replace for u, u shouldn't have these issues at all when paying for a "quality" camera. Im just disappointed in them. And it's my fault. I had issues with the 2.0 gen 2 and still bought the 3.0 pros thinking they fixed the issues. I should've waited a while to buy them but I needed more cams and didn't wanna have 2 subscriptions from another company and tactacam.

100.00 per cam? I paid 149.99 for all my tactacams when they come out. The obly way ur getting a tactacam for 100 is if u buy the older model when the new model comes out and still it's 119.00. If i only paid 100 I wouldn't b complaining either

I waited for mine to go on sale as they normally do. Reveal x 2.0 retails at 120$ on sale to 99 - so i mean $30?

I mean i'd be pissed with your situation as well and i hope tactacam works with you on it but its not like you paid for Spartans.

My tactacams have their issues and piss me off once in a while but they arr hard to beat for a cell plan with the pricing of the camera and the plans.

the slower a deer moves the less likely it will pick it up. If i have a solo deer on the bait its more likely to miss the pic. When there's multiple it does pretty good..

My gopro won't charge over 35% -90% with some wires- try a different wire worked for me.

I won't run anything but the 12v anymore. Best decision i ever made
