BHC Posted January 8 Posted January 8 I started playing the drums at the age of 7 as my father was a drummer and my sister's ex-husband is a drummer, the first time I can remember hearing RUSH was in 1981 MOVING PICTURES ALBUM, I was sold on them but it was the drumming of Neil Peart that blew me away. It took me many years to play his songs, very frustrating /demanding, and challenging but well worth it. There are many great drummers out there, but none will come close to his time signatures, off-beats etc. I was lucky enough to see RUSH 22 times over the years. Rest in Peace Professor & thank you Nanuk, electricstart, electric10162 and 2 others 5

There was an entire day of Rush on xm radio and on regular radio Living in the lime light the universal dream Edited January 8 by thefirstndsecond FPC - "Without either the first or second amendment, we would have no liberty; the first allows us to find out what's happening, the second allows us to do something about it! Cousin Brown Posted January 8 Posted January 8 I been drumming 40+ years. Neil was an inspiration to all! Cant believe it's been 5 years already. Stewart Copeland was my biggest influence. thefirstndsecond 1 Treestands don't demand, treestands don't complain, treestands simply ask me to sit down and listen.

Yesterday was the anniversary of his death hence why he was talking about about him on the radio. thefirstndsecond 1
