BHC Posted January 7 Posted January 7 If your dog gets sick with vomiting and/or diarrhea know it may be a virus going around. My friend's dog had it as well New Year's Day my pit bull was fine, in the middle of the night around 1:30 am my youngest daughter woke us up, and my dog (not too explicit) exploded on the carpet in the family room, then on the hardwood floors, and on the front porch. Our Vet wasn't open. We mopped the floors with disinfectant did our best to clean the carpet and called a carpet cleaning company they came fast and got the stains removed, called our vet and they had no openings, but we went to a different vet, who gave him a shot to calm the stomach down, antibiotics, play it safe two doses of de-wormer, and they empty his anal glands. The diarrhea slowed down immediately from the shot he got and within a few hours stopped completely. Within a few days, he was eating better but was playful, well that changed today when he attacked me in his playful way. few more days of antibiotics thefirstndsecond and Bonefreak 1 1

Frank add some pumpkin to the food, can pumpkin be fine with the boiled rice and boiled chicken. Our little dog the oldest of the two has a very weak stomach, we give her that combination and it helps electricstart 1
Shakyjake Posted January 8 Posted January 8 The vet gave him antibiotics in case he ingested something. They do nothing for a virus.
BHC Posted January 8 Author Posted January 8 My dog didn't ingest anything, it was a stomach bug/virus so antibiotics needed. De-womer was given was pre caution
