MikeStaten Posted January 6 Posted January 6 Anyone using these? If not, I highly recommend. I can change my oil with no tools in just a few minutes. Less messy too. Mallard1100 1
Houndog Posted January 6 Posted January 6 Have been using one on my Duramax for years now. I have the one with the hose nipple. Makes changing oil much easier and cleaner.
mike033089 Posted January 6 Posted January 6 Is that the system that is valve you turn and then fan direct if with the hose? I heard they got a mechanism on them to lock it incase you drive over something it can’t open. But does that really work 100%?

It has a lever to open and close the valve and some have a nipple to put a small hose on. On both my cars I have the nipple version but no longer use a hose on them as they have a clear shot to drain right into an oil pan. They do have a plastic clip that locks the valve lever closed but the valve lever is spring loaded and springs back into a notch so they cant easily open on their own. https://www.fumotousa.com mike033089 1
Mallard1100 Posted January 6 Posted January 6 I have been using one for years now on my tundra. Wish I went to one a long time ago. Game changer if you change your own oil. My Toyota also has a filter bowl the filter element sits in. I purchased a drain hose tool/kit to drain the bowl as well. Very easy job with the right tools. res3301 1
