For years I been asking the wife to rinse the dishes before she puts em in the dishwasher to no avail…welp…now it costs us!!

Food clogged ports at top of this piece while it was under pressure of hot water…it is soft plastic n bulged out under pressure…& sprung a leak. Other parts appear worn out. Google says average dishwasher life span is 10 years and this one is about 12….probably wuda lasted longer since I’m a huge fan of rinsing before loading…unfortunately she is an anti-rinser.

Anyone ever deal with this?

Buy new parts or buy new?

Looks like Costco has em for bout $650. Good expensive lesson for her to learn to rinse!!

Happy F’ing new year to me!!  Ugh

My wife will load a dishwasher and make it full with 4 things.  No system to the chaos, crap thrown anywhere.  Anyway, Home Depot will give 0% financing if you use their credit card. Anything over 299 is 6 months, and they have different time frames depending on how much you spend. Also newer ones have the filters easily removable to clean out

And the food that doesn’t end up there gets baked on the rest of the dishes!!  I think I finally got mine trained after 40+ years

get a new one

I removed the dishwasher years ago for that reason. Also the dishes after they were cleaned sat in the dishwasher for two days till the sink was full of dirty ones again.

there are certain things worth fixing and just replacing. I have to say my wars with the dishwasher were never fun - i extended the life of mine only to find it start spraying from a different part of the  machine. What a nightmare.

For me - i like costco but PC richards is the best IMO. Always have solid deals and if you find it cheaper theyll pricematch just make sure you have the exact SKU

Mine is leaking, also makes a small slightly noticeable helicopter sound. The screen filter is clean no food particles at all. I'm thinking the drain pump or motor.  Strange we ran it, and it leaked ran it again to double check no leaks, then the next two times it leaked.
