Popular Post Msgdan Posted December 30, 2024 Popular Post Posted December 30, 2024 A little late on the report, but I picked my grandson up in Jefferson on Friday morning at 8 AM...It was 15 degrees at his house !!! WTF !! I was hoping to take in the kayaks, but it was a little too chilly ......so my plan B was to take him on a 4 hour charter in the Hackensack river, and it was a great choice. It was a balmy 30 degrees when we got on the boat at 10 AM, but there was no wind at all and I had him dressed well, for the weather. The trip started out slow, with him hooking a few bass with nothing landed. After a slow couple of hours, the guide made a move and it was non stop action for the next 90 minutes ! We had many double hook ups at once and my grandson did an amazing job, hooking, netting, and unhooking the bass before a quick release. I have been on hundreds of fishing trips local and many all over this side of the globe and I don't think that I was ever more excited watching him fighting the bass and seeing his smile !!! I am one proud grandpa !! gonefishing, the truth, electricstart and 25 others 16 12
