Do any of you remove your string and cables during the off-season to prolong the string and cables life. I was thinking about doing this it gets expensive replacing every year. This way maybe I could go every two years

I do not remove the strings during the off season. I haven't replaced strings every year either. If the string falls between the dimples on the cams, there is no reason to replace unless damaged.

Don’t believe that I’ve had them break with the timing marks perfect an only 20 or so shots on new cables that’s why I got away from factory cables most string and cable manufacturers will tell you on ravens like the 10x replace yearly. And when you break a cable you’ll need cams cam bearings and limbs.  I’m a fast learner. There are many known issues with them breaking in the shipping boxes and in cases while not in use.

Then you've answered your own question.

I'm pretty confident since I have a 2018 R15 and two newer R29x. I only use Ravin bolts and nocks. I use Ravin serving fluid religiously and even own my own Ravin press. Brother has the R10. I won't use aftermarket strings on the 29s until the warranty is up.

I have never seen any recommendations to unstring a bow in the off season.

Agree. I think removal and re-install is asking for trouble. The tension on the Ravin cams is basically zero.

I wouldn’t bother, uncocked there isn’t too much pressure to worry about

I’d have to disagree with that. There’s a tremendous amount of torque on most ravens. Do a little research. How can you explain all the cable failures.

It’s not the cams it’s the cables but when they break you have to replace the cams limbs and cam Berring’s  go do a little search on the crossbow sites

I've owned Ravins for over 6 years with no issues. IMO, I believe 95% of issues are operator error or negligence. Go on Crossbow Nation....some of these guys don't know what a cock feather is.

Then why does Raven say two years. Most pro shops say one year

It’s the design, a lot of stress on those short little cables when cocked and shooting

I agree and sometimes it’s the hard cases made for the bows putting tension on where the strings go around the cams creating an unseated position . Also a unnoticed cracked nock causes a dry fire effect. A lot is due to user error

I didn't put a new string on the R15 until last year. My first R29x was done at 3 years. The other I did this year because I bought it used.
