JerseyMike Posted December 26, 2024 Posted December 26, 2024 (edited) Was at my mom's house for Christmas Eve dinner and was talking hunting and how proud she was of my daughter taking her buck. My mom then told me some of my original hunting gear was still in the basement. Talk about a memory rush. The stool in the photo was my first hunting stool I used when making make shift ground blinds hunting Turkey Swamp WMA, the old Easton arrows in the Kwikee Quiver still tipped with Thunderhead 100gr broadheads, still razor sharp and finally, my Larry D. Jones elk bugle I used in 1993 on my first and only Elk hunt so far in Colorado. The guided Elk hunt was a High School graduation present paid for by my Grandpa. I used a 60lb Bear Recurve for that trip. Didn't kill an Elk but one of the best hunting experiences of my life, second to watching my daughter kill her buck. My whitetail bow at the time was a 50lb Bear takedown Recurve. Sorry for the rant, just thought I'd share Edited December 27, 2024 by JerseyMike BowhunterNJ, Rusty, electric10162 and 8 others 10 1

Roon Posted December 26, 2024 Posted December 26, 2024 (edited) Very cool, I've been hunting since 87 I still have and use some stuff from then, I have two pairs of rocky boots I bought back in 92 that I still wear early season both have been resouled once and believe it or not a one piece mossy oak suit that I got in 91 that I had to wear last year and this because my new suit that is 14 years old was soaked from sitting in the rain. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones that can wear clothes other than socks from 20 + years ago lol Edited December 26, 2024 by Roon JerseyMike 1 Not a complete a$$ hole just one of the dingle berries that hang off it.
