hammer4reel Posted December 24, 2024 Posted December 24, 2024 (edited) Was a tad cold to start the day pulling out in the dark at 530 this morning But by 10 o’clock with light North winds blocked by the boat it actually was a nice day on the water . 9 man boat limit by noon , CR till 3 looking for a jumbo . biggest fish were between 7-9 #. fillet basket , and whole fish box for those keeping whole fish maryland togging keeps you in your toes all day hoping a dinosaur comes out to play . Yes south Jersey does have great fishing. I've done really good up our area but you know the pressure we have here. The size difference is big time different.

I fish both ALOT .of course NJ more I personally have about 10 times more double digit togs from our waters . big fish are here , just can’t fish the same stuff hundreds of other guys are too many guys fishing 25’ to 65’. when we fish for winter tog from mid December on it’s much deeper than 95% of the others fishing .
