Love it when it snows.  Windy and very silent walking.  Tried to go out out and track some deer.  Put in 3 miles.  Ended up seeing some does about 200 yds out.  They saw me and went up through a saddle.  Eventually caught up to a heard of 8 does.  Got one of the bigger ones.  Double lung with 340 eld-x.  She went 50 yds and piled up.  Was about 3/4 mile out but with the deer sleigh it was very easy with the snow.

great story! I was looking for a new spot Thursday and while I found a couple of potential spots, I way saying to myself "it's gonna suck dragging this thing back up hill!"

Not trusting the government doesn't make you a conspiracy theorist, it makes you a history buff

There is a spot on a particular side of a wma near me that would have to be a special deer. It’s up and down multiple ravines

Yeah, I'm 61 yo, I don't know if I would still be deer hunting if I didn't have a deer hauler to get deer out of the woods, and there's spots I won't hunt because it would be too hard to get a deer out of, dragging a deer up a steep hill is just too much, regardless of antler size, it's one of the reasons I've given up elk hunting, too much like work anymore
