Headed out with Rocky today before pulling the boat for its winter rest tomorrow

‘only could fish till 1 to be able to get back into my slip

Beautiful day on water for mid December .

was decent bite in the hard moon current .
‘when the current started to slow  down  through the change bite  got real good .

Was Way more shorts than keepers , probably over 15/1

But the keepers were nice fish to just about 6#

at 1 o’clock I told Rocky last crab , I caught 4 fish just on that last crab before pulling the anchor and running hard to beat the tide .

Wish we could have fished a few more hours .

looked a little rough!! nice catching hammer

Was using about 60’ of anchor line in 55-58’ of water lol

just enough current to grab the bottom and sit pretty with 0 scope .

made for easy pulling of the anchor for sure .

not many days all year you can get away with such little line out

I'm surprised you don't have spot lock.  We are adding when the boat gets new power this winter

Been in my garage for 2 years , never put it on .

it is a great tool , but the main tie offs in my boat need to be moved so the motor isn’t in the way .

someday I will put it on for use in deeper water .

but under 75’ I can anchor where I want pretty quick .

.
