Took advantage of the weather !! Kayak stripers !

I took advantage of the nice weather this morning and sat my a$$ in my kayak, instead of a tree !!!   LOL  Launched around 7 30 in the Hacky and had a great morning.    The first fish was on my first drift and was about 18 inches and I was thinking it was going to be a rat fest,  but that was the smallest of the day.

 

I landed  about 10 bass and all the rest were slot fish or just shy.  All fat and feisty fish and it felt good to feel a little pulling on the line.  I may go again tomorrow morning because after that,  the weather doesn't look great or warm enough to be sitting in a kayak !!

Nice fish. If you don't mind me asking. What did they hit/eat?

Swamprat...........All were caught jigging a 3/4 Oz. Steel Shad vibrating blade bait......hit the bottom and pull up and repeat....it has to be vertical !  It's really a fresh water lure, so I had to replace the hooks.
