Roon Posted December 17, 2024 Posted December 17, 2024 I have many all with my kids or dogs as I don't take pictures with me of things I kill, just my thing. First one just shows how the Kid honestly loved Bugs lol she still does, second I almost lost the Kid she was around nine shot doe she jumped in creek and floated down. I left her at the water edge to go get deer I made around the corner see deer and hear her screaming like she's being murdered. Run back up to check her, she was standing on a yellow jacket nest and got stung about 7 or 8 times. Get her down to the water take boots and pants off and have her stand in water to help with pain and went to get deer. Got around the corner grabbed deer and started pulling up the creek, I made about half way and Kid starts screaming like getting murdered again, I drop deer and ran back to her, turned out yellow jackets made it in her coat. She's now stripped to her underwear and lying in the creek. I shake out her cloths get the deer finally. Got her dressed and she took one of the best photos after being hit by about a dozen yellow jackets. KBfishing Posted December 17, 2024 Posted December 17, 2024 (edited) He always loved hunting. Now I can't get him out of the tree. It was 16 degrees on Sunday and he was giving me a hard time for wanting to sleep in. Next generation...wife couldn't watch them so they went with me. Recurve hntr Posted December 17, 2024 Posted December 17, 2024 My wife made dinner plans for us and a bunch of friends. The place where we going to dinner was 5 minutes from where I was hunting. So I told her I’d meet everyone after I hunt. I was in nice jeans and a collared shirt. I shot my biggest buck and met her for dinner. She helped me trail , gut it right after dinner. Lucky to have my best friend/ my wife help me. Rusty, Psehunter, Eyesofthewoods and 15 others 16 2
Recurve hntr Posted December 17, 2024 Posted December 17, 2024 My daughter’s first and only deer . Killed it with a t/c white mountain carbine. Never shot it before and it was pouring rain. Tried to talk her out of going in the morning but she said no daddy I want to go. So we went. We were sitting on folding stools. I looked over her shoulder and the deer was 10 yards away. I whispered don’t move. The deer walked out infront of us about 50 yrds. I had to reach around her to pull the hammer back so it didn’t click. She said daddy can I shoot ? I said wait until it’s broadside. That quick I hear boom. Never told her about the smoke from black powder. She said what happened. I said u just killed your first deer.
