nmc02 Posted December 17, 2024 Posted December 17, 2024 My loss is your gain....I have incredibly wide feet and have a tough time finding boots to fit me. I have 2 pairs that aren't wide enough for me. I won’t ship, pick up in Sussex Cty. Pair 1: NEVER WORN. Kamik Greenbay 4 Wide; sz 12. Cost me $100. Pairs 2: Thorogood Endeavor Extreme Pac Boot; sz 11.5. I wore these 3 times. Cost me $220. Both pairs for $100/BO or trade.
hammer4reel Posted December 17, 2024 Posted December 17, 2024 Can’t understand why 99% of boots for hunting only come in D width . especially when many have wide feet , or for guys looking to wear thicker socks . nmc02, Gman and Jcol6268 2 1
nmc02 Posted December 17, 2024 Author Posted December 17, 2024 Sucks. Impossible to find a great, wide pac or rubber boot. Bogs & Irish setter advertise wide rubber boots....both aren't.
Gman Posted December 17, 2024 Posted December 17, 2024 I have wide feet but not as wide as you, if they were a size 10.5 or 11 I would take them both. I'd be interested to know what boots you finally get that fit. I'm always on the look out for a good pair of boots that come in wide or double wide.
hammer4reel Posted December 17, 2024 Posted December 17, 2024 Where were you planning on wearing a 2400 gram boot ? 1000-1200 are already ridiculously warm ? a lot of the year here 400-600 is a lot
nmc02 Posted December 17, 2024 Author Posted December 17, 2024 I typically need to get 2 sizes larger. If I wear a thinner sock, I have Danner Grouse boots & Kenetrek Mountain extreme that fit well. Both are wide versions. Unfortunately, all day sits in below 30 degree temperature need pac boots. I have 1600 Lacrosse rubber boots in sz 13 that are decently warm w a good sock & chemical full foot warmers. I have Cabela Inferno pac boots that fit OK. Looking at buying Schnee extreme pacs in sz 13....(my street shoes are 10.5-11). Gman 1

Too heavy/bulky. I found that an 800 gr pair with good socks (not too heavy or tight around the calves) and toe warmers keeps my feet toasty down to 15 degrees. If colder, I use "boot blankets". Tends to be colder. I don't like hunting in heat. Many sits are all day. If my feet are squeezed = cold feet. Doesn't matter how much insulation. Gman and archer36 1 1

They are the only boot that spread enough for my feet to fit . bought simaler boots in other brands and they were much too tight . liked walking more in lacrosse boots , but took an army to get them off at the end of the day . actually broke boot jacks kicking them off . If it’s staying below 15 occasionally I take along my boot blankets . But not often . .I haven’t worn pack boots in almost 40 years
Timbuk2 Posted December 17, 2024 Posted December 17, 2024 If I find my feet are getting a little cold I just turned the floor heater up in the truck a little higher
