MEMORIES OF BEAR HUNT PAST..2003 SEASON

Buried among some stuff i found the ear tags and harvest tag from the first bear season when it was first brought back, it was 2003 !! I got this bear on 35mm trail camera during archery season( yeah I'm that old). Opening day i had her under me. Waited for her to walk out in front of me but never happened, did take a 6pt about an hour later. The last day I had no desire to hunt but I went anyway with my late friend Sammy. I decided to hunt roughly 400 yards away in another stand, it was 6* that morning, around 9am my friend saw a bear heading right to me  he called me on the radio and I shot her at 50 yards on the run witn my Remington 1187 12ga with Lighfields, piled up immediately.  3 hours to drag out, 200 lbs. Live weight, dressed at 178 lbs
