You should take a ride and visit a local packing dock next week and see what you can buy right off the boats. Fresh is always best. Brothers lobster in Shark river has lobsters , day scallops and jumbo shrimp just about every Saturday right on their boat . like Smitty said , fresh is WAY better . And it’s far from the same. Still a lot of the same stands and family businesses just not the same. Now that you’re retired you should take a ride there and check it out it’s an experience for certain. Bring cash. Also it’s still a night time operation I believe 7pm-7am. But it is experiencing
