I haven’t hunted pheasants in a few yrs . My dad passed and my daughter moved to Hawaii. So my pheasant hunting buddies were gone. When we did hunt we killed a lot of pheasants together. I would save all the pheasant breasts for pheasant parm. My Italian neighbor would make what he called gravy but it’s sauce. I’d make pheasant parm with his sauce for eagles parties. Was yummy!

Thanks for sharing that brother that was awesome.  Sorry about your dad.  I've never hunted them before, and my daughter really wanted to do the youth hunt and now she's hooked.  We're gonna go to Bent Creek near Assunpink and hunt them together

That’s awesome. If she wants to hunt do it. My daughters  first day muzzleloader hunting with a gun she never shot before. It wasn’t an inline gun. T/c white mountain carbin. It was pouring rain. I woke her up and said babe its a washout today but we can go tomorrow. She took two days off from school. No dad I want to go. State woods . Sat in the pouring rain. Deer walks right next us . We were just sitting on folding stools. I told her not to move. Deer walked out to about 50/60 yrds and stopped. I had to reach over her to pull the trigger back so it didn’t make the click noise. She aimed with the iron sites and got her first deer. So I didn’t want to go that morning but she did. My favorite hunting memory ever. Hunt every time they want too.

Funny thing is she’s wearing the same hunter orange outfit I wore using the same gun in the same spot I killed my first deer in. Just like her. Pretty cool right?

That is way cool!!!   Such a cool memory.
