archer36 Posted December 7, 2024 Posted December 7, 2024 Agree. I can't forget Pearl Harbor Day. It's my birthday. When people hear I was born on 12/7, they say "Pearl Harbor Day". ratherbhunting 1
Batsto Posted December 7, 2024 Posted December 7, 2024 Little Trvia! My son in laws grandfather was at Pearl on Dec 7. His ship was in dry dock. I was able to speak to him several times before he passed. Lucky guy! https://www.freep.com/story/news/local/michigan/2016/12/06/did-you-know-these-michigan-facts-pearl-harbor-attack/94755844/

He had a deferment due to his job but he gave that up and enlisted. archer36 1

bushden Posted December 7, 2024 Posted December 7, 2024 2,403 Americans were killed that day and 1,178 others. May they rest in peace and be remembered forever. joeyguts and JD48 2 HONOR THE FALLENhttps://thefallen.militarytimes.com/ Over the years the US has sent many of its fine young men & women into great peril to fight for freedom beyond our borders. The only amount of land we have ever asked for in return, is enough to bury those that did not return. COLIN POWELL

smittty Posted December 7, 2024 Posted December 7, 2024 I’m willing to bet there’s a good number of youngsters that don’t even know what Pearl Harbor day is. No more history in school thing of the past
