Made it to Iowa

Well drove to Iowa stopped last night .made it to bass pro picked up license may go out for pheasant wed met up with some of my girls friend next few day for pheasant.

I just got home from iowa. Floods in the spring knocked the bird numbers down in our area. Mallard area. Have fun.

Iowa is a great area!!! Are you near Winterset Iowa? Bob Fellers hometown. He was the first pitcher to throw a 100 mph.

Hit two pieces one farm one state put up 4 hens and 4 males 2 in range I missed one and the guy I was with missed 1.

Well made it half a day legs are rubber did about 5 miles on top of yesterday.  Put up 6 with the other guy most where hens .

Took yesterday off went with a few guy this morning to a preserve we got afew  the tail feather has to be 2 feet long.

We use to measure the tails on wild birds back in the day, the longest I killed was 32". If I knew they were going to disappear in NJ I would have had that bird mounted since it was one of the last wild birds I killed

Im really surprise  this state has never tried to bring them back, plenty of weed fields around now that farming has started to subside in some regions
