bushden Posted November 25, 2024 Posted November 25, 2024 How did you make out ?? Tracked the deer over a mile. His dog Edgar is awesome at tracking nothing but good things to say about him and his dog. We tracked him over a mile before we called it. Plenty of blood, but no deer. Not making excuses it was my fault. First time using a single slider pin this year. Pin was on 20 he was around 30ish. Rushed the shot hit him low. It's a bummer, but I'm not giving up Sharpdogs, mike033089 and bushden 3

birdshotnj Posted November 26, 2024 Posted November 26, 2024 Sorry to hear it didn't have a happy ending, but you did everything you could. Hopefully the deer makes it and you get another shot at him. Happens to us all Jackdaniels 1

Find your mark where you are within margin of error at 20 and 30. I set my pin at 24yrds and don't have to worry about it from 15 to 30. the truth and Jackdaniels 2

I switched to 20 yards 10 minutes before the deer came in because I thought all my shots would be 20 and in. I shoot 70lbs 29 3/4 draw my arrows don't start dropping until 26 27 yards. I've been aiming lower because of watching too many youtube videos. No excuses though my fault. Just a bummer Live and learn

Edgar took us right to the deer in no time and covered over 1000 yards. Was absolutely amazing to watch him work. It happens to us all…if Edgar couldn’t get him for you…he’s likely still on the hoof. Good luck. LPJR and Roon 1 1 Sometimes I think the world has gone completely mad. And then I think, "Aw, who cares?" And then I think, "Hey, what's for supper?"
