Popular Post Tarhunt Posted November 21, 2024 Popular Post Posted November 21, 2024 (edited) Long story short. My son who's in the Air Force flew to Jersey ten days ago to buy a pickup truck here and then drive it back. We finally purchased one and I just couldn't let my 23 year old son drive the 32 hours back to his military base. I rearranged my work schedule and drove out with him back to Montana. Took us two days. Got there late Saturday night and then went duck hunting Sunday afternoon up near Brady. Had a constant 25 mph wind but, managed to shoot a few ducks. We went back out on Monday afternoon to hunt a few ponds before they totally froze over. Shot some mallards, a green wing teal and a goose. The afternoon temps were 38 degrees. I flew out early Tuesday morning. Here are some photos. Glad to hunt with my youngest son. Don't get to see him much. Spend time with your kids before they grow up. splitrockoutdoors Posted November 21, 2024 Posted November 21, 2024 (edited) Very cool!! Just curious why buy the truck here with the long drive back? Edited November 21, 2024 by splitrockoutdoors

The trucks out there especially around his military base are crazy expensive. The dealers take advantage of them. So, my son figured it was cheaper to fly out and purchase one here and drive it back. Plus, Montana doesn't charge sales tax. So, he saved more money. It's ashame that the dealers are such dicks out there. Dogface 1 "The Nation Which Forgets Its Defenders, Will Itself Be Forgotten".
Sako76 Posted November 21, 2024 Posted November 21, 2024 It’s a tragedy what car dealers do to servicemen around military bases! Same thing for U-Hauls and hotels! Despicable people ! Dogface and Tarhunt 2
