Took our annual trip to western NY for some fishing. Never have we been met with such low flow and crystal clear conditions. Some stream were so low they were actually unfishable. Seems they have been in semi drought conditions close to us here in NJ. After we arrived we were met with some rain which lit things up for the two hours before dusk and we hammered brown trout. Next day was 20-30mph winds but it kept the water slightly stained which helped and we continued to do well. After that water levels continued to drop and became gin clear, we had to drop down to 3.5lb tippet which made hook ups better but landing fish tough. The pinners were pretty frustrated with the low flows but with fly rods we adjusted pretty good. Last afternoon we did finally get a run of chromers but they laughed at our weak tippets. Probably watch conditions and head back up in December. Here a couple fish from the trip, background naturally has been altered 😂😂😂IMG_6571.thumb.png.038805b25fdc3827d566ba6d93ee5d7f.pngIMG_6572.thumb.png.888d4a609637c7374f44cc9d59a6dbb8.pngIMG_6573.thumb.png.8ee9b0610430007326c08409a502a842.pngIMG_6574.thumb.png.26deaf51611468fdfabfd641ea5288e6.png

Just saying it looks like a photo shop set of pics bc the leaf on the water is in the same spot on every photo and the last one the fishes head is half missing. but nice fish.

He said the background was altered( a made up scene) I guess so as not to give any indication of where they fished.
