archer36 Posted November 19, 2024 Posted November 19, 2024 (edited) Anyone use this? It's only sold in one location in Monroe, NJ. It's all tulip bulbs. The benefits are that no other animals will eat it except deer. My Buddy pick some up and gave me a bag. I haven't seen much results yet other than not seeing tons of squirrels eating it like corn. vdep217 Posted November 19, 2024 Posted November 19, 2024 I tried them a few years ago here in the pines they rotted. Deer wouldn't touch them

Booner Posted November 19, 2024 Posted November 19, 2024 I've bought from them for my son's stand. In Jackson. Deer destroyed them. I've recommended it to friends it worked so good for us. They didn't have the same results. As far as rot... I haven't experienced it. Sure they live flower bulbs. They moist in the bag. But once I threw them out they dried up and couldn't keep deer off them. I haven't used them for a few years since I stopped baiting archer36 1 LET EM GO SO HE CAN GROW
Rjtfd Posted November 19, 2024 Posted November 19, 2024 From what I heard is you have to get them use to it. Once they do they can’t resist them. Maybe add a little molasses on or around it or corn. I think they add B16 with them also. They have a FB page maybe ask best way to start up. archer36 1
archer36 Posted November 19, 2024 Author Posted November 19, 2024 I am not checking my camera where I put it down for a while. I'll report back when I do.
smittty Posted November 19, 2024 Posted November 19, 2024 I don’t understand why the say use within 24hrs

The bag is mesh. They stack lots of them. I can't believe they sell all in a day.
FeniQuest217 Posted November 19, 2024 Posted November 19, 2024 I think one thing to always consider is utilizing something in an area that may not be as prevalent may not lure deer in as good. I bet if you dropped the tulip sack in Bergen county deer would destroy them, as they're able to feed on everyone's landscaping 24/7 and they're used to it. But in more spread out parts of the state i could understand them ignoring something they don't normally see daily, even if it is something they eat. Just food for th0ught, could be totally wrong Bigmac, JFC1, Gman and 1 other 1 3
archer36 Posted November 19, 2024 Author Posted November 19, 2024 I wonder where the heck they get all these tulip bulbs. They are freshly dug.

Thry sell a thousand times that many bulbs for people’s homes . Those bulbs are seconds, great for bait . but not as good as they sell for those growing flowers . . Rjtfd 1

Mr12gauge Posted November 19, 2024 Posted November 19, 2024 The first time you use them they need some help to get the deer to know they can eat them. I've used cherry jello mix, after that they gobble them up even if they are moldy. JFC1 and archer36 2
megavites Posted November 19, 2024 Posted November 19, 2024 Personal experience. Deer need to get used to them...typically. In one location, Z15, they didn't touch them. Currently in Z50, 1 bag last 2 days...deer are hammering them, most likely due to moisture content. JFC1 1
