What's your favorite shotgun barrel length for upland hunting?

as a kid everyone used 30" barrels

there was a trend a while back for shorter barrel, i think I remember 24" the shortest

I always shot 12 gauge o/u  with 30 inch barrel but now I prefer 28 inch, I have 20 gauge o/u in both 26 & 28 but I prefer 28

now that I think about it, Remington had an 1100 "special field" with a 21" barrel

I use a Browning BPS "upland special" with a 22" barrel.

I prefer shorter shotgun barrels. The only double I've owned was a 24" Browning Citori.

I have settled in with 26 inches for all except my SxS, which I never use. If you want more length those extended chokes are fantastic.

It’s an old Stevens 311. I have 2. One from early 80s and one from late 50s/60s. I bought the 80s one from a discount store called BEST near the Morristown  Mall for less than 100 bucks. The other was given to me.
