Filled my state tags w/ my 2 buddies, got my 2nd gator w/ the snatch hook & finished him off w/ the bang stick.  Got 2 meat hogs also.

Only had alligator tail once long time ago don't remember if it's good or not, are you eating it if so what is your recipe

Hog is better IMO. Gator is good also, mild flavor (similar to frog, chicken....) with a pork consistency. It takes on flavor that you cook it with really well.  The cheeks are the best part , followed by the "Jelly Roll"...its a muscle in the tail that is never used, (you will know it when you feel it, just like jelly its so tender) then the  tail its self.   You can cube it, grind it, make sausage, burger ...etc.  Use it as any other protein.  Need to be cooked through but dont over cook, once you do it turns tough like leather.
