I was able to take one of these elusive NJ ten points yesterday. I think I’ve only seen 4 typical tens ever while hunting in NJ.

I had a spike and fawn in front of me and a doe came in. Right on her tail was this guy. As he was walking into the opening and I’m getting ready to aim and shoot, he grunts and chases the doe. She circles to my left directly down wind and he’s on her tail. They stop and stand there for what seemed like 10 minutes but behind cedars, and I have no shot. Eventually she moved and went back through the clearing and he followed. Fatal mistake.
