Went out this morning and had one gobbling across the road but then he went away from me. About 7am with nothing going on I go for a walk. After about an hour I work my way back to the tree I started out under. But before I can get there, I see 2 hens in a field on the other side of the hedgerow and they did not see me. I make my way back to the big oak and start peeking at the 2 hens who are to my right when all of a sudden I hear a yelp and gobbles from my left only 50 yards away! I sit down and give a couple soft yelps and purrs and the hen starts coming my way and walks in front of me at 7 feet! Guess who is in tow, yep, the long beard and BOOM! Great hunt that went from nothing to this nice long beard. Best of luck to all out chasing the thunder chickens :up:
