I need a new hobby

Got onto the farm this morning, setup my decoys and by 5:45am, the first gobble broke the silence of the morning. Unfortunately, he had other ideas and went the opposite direction of my decoys. Fast forward to set #2 @ 9am -- had a tom come in to my lone hen decoy, but because of the way that he came into the decoy, I could not shoot as there were houses in that general direction (well over the legal distance, but why upset the neighbors) and after while he moved on. Last set at 11am. I decided to get off the fields and went into the hardwoods. After a few minutes of calling, two toms come looking for the sweet sounding hen. Both were all puffed up and fighting for the mystery girl's attention, but I got antsy and shot well left of them both . They looked at me, gave me the middle feather and ran off looking for a less hostile girlfriend. So, now I need to find me something less stressful...after turkey season of course .

Haha that's a great story and set of hunts! Still a fun morning out there...and shows that even turkeys can have hostile girlfriends!

Hey at least your out hunting. Im putting sprinklers in at work all week and cant want to get in the woods. My hands are all blistered up my legs a cramping. So your bad day of hunting beats my good days at work lol
