Semi live Grizzly Bear hunt

Well finally after 2 years of the outfitter canceling this hunt on me due to weather ( which was a good thing) it’s gonna happen.

i arrived in Fairbanks early Monday morning and I’m staying with a friend till tomorrow when I fly out to hunt.

There were two  prior bowhunters this week. One is still hunting the other took a bear a couple days ago.

Im hunting with Stan Parkerson at Denali Hunts wonderful honest hardworking guy. He runs a bowhunting only outfit.

These two days in town at Pete’s we spent trying to find him a moose ( Bull tag) We only saw one cow so far and lots of other hunters..

The grizzly one of the other hunters took.. super dark hide almost looks like a color phase black bear. Stan texted me the pic said he’s skinning it now and like thinks it will be a booner..

Petes a great guy who’s originally from NJ and still has a home there and visits  a couple times a year.

He worked as an outfitter as well as a forester and fire fighter for the state( smoke jumper)
