End of Summer Trip down the Delaware

Our end of summer trip down the Delaware is Saturday September 14th,  all are welcome.  This is my favorite stretch of the river, Pond Eddy down to Matamoras.  Family, friends, and dogs are welcome.  Especially your dogs!

You can choose kayaks, rafts, or canoes.  Activities include: fishing, swimming, cliff jumping, and ice cream at Riverside Creamery.

Let me know if you are interested.  We will be using Indian Head Canoes and the cost is $60 per person.

Was on Delaware above gap today 

crazy low and the weed growth in shallow areas looked like under water hay fields .

could t get to some of the areas I wanted to go .

water was still deep enough but the Mats of grass were like putting plywood over my intake

Yeah it’s been dry, we need a good hurricane or two.

Have done that multiple times. Really enjoy that stretch. Last year the smell of weed was unreal. Everyone was smoking

There are a lot less people on the river in September.

Guess I should be careful what I wish for!  The river’s gonna be flowing real good by this time next week.

Predictions aren’t bad for the next few days .

but that def will change if we get all the rain forecasted next week

Looks like it's going to be a beautiful day to be on the river.

You youngin's enjoy yourself.  Used to like doing the stretch from Callicoon to Ten Mile River, stopping under the bridge in Narrowsburg for lunch.  25 miles and got Skinners Falls rapids in the beginning.  Have to do canoe, rafts take to long.  Have fun!  If you see a creepy old man with a camera on the shoreline taking your picture, it's only me.

Scratch that last comment, it's opening day for deer season.  But you still might see a creepy old man in camo with a camera if midday is too hot to hunt

Calling for rain on Saturday. I’ll be heading up to the west branch for the day. Big brown time. 
Sunday will likely find me on the BFB after Saturdays rain.
