I am trading in my 15 yr old truck on Friday. A 2010 Toyota Tundra Rock Warrior w 230 k miles. Getting 6k for trade in.

Needs rear brakes & ALL new brake lines. New tires, exhaust, & front brakes. Would be a great hunting/farm truck.

Anyone interested...let me know. Price is firm, as dealership is giving me 6k.

Not for nothing but you asking 6500 as with your trade you're looking at 6000 you are not paying taxes on. Getting what the dealer will give is going to put you behind 420 just saying.

Not a complete a$$ hole just one of the dingle berries that hang off it.

That was figured in (actual trade in is 5600...didn't feel like explaining).

117,000 miles and still going strong. starting to get some small rust patches around the doors.

Nick, what was the mindset of going with the older body style as apposed to the new one?

I pushed up the time line of me buying a new truck by a year so I could buy a ‘21 also. If Nick is as pragmatic as I am it’s about the time tested and proven motor that allowed him to get 15 years out of a truck rather than the body style. They just switched in 22 to that BS turbo charged “fuel efficient” garbage. I doubt they’ll be as good as the old 5.8L motors. Just too much to go wrong now

Yep. They sure missed the mark w that new grill shape and problematic turbo V6 BS. 2021 and below is the way to go.

I had my 2010 Tundra for 10 yrs only thing I didn't like was the short bed.  I did have a problem with mine I don't recall the the exact issue, but when it first happened it put the truck into limp mode. my mechanic said it would cost $3400 to fix with him and more money with the dealer. He did find there was a repair bulletin (not a recall) I called Toyota and did confirm that and they claim they sent out the paperwork back in late 2010 here is at the time 202o . They refused to work with me on it and I even suggested that they charge me 50% of the repairs. The mechanic said it would not hurt the truck to drive it as long as it's out of limp mode, for a year it was fine then the check engine light came on but I would reset it and it would stay off for a few days but ran fine. But I didn't need a truck of that size any more kids are older, and less family trips. I've always loved the Tacomas had a few over many years, and I wanted one and treat myself as a retirement gift. So that's what I did, and got a very good trade-in from the dealer

I had the same issue pop up on my 2011. There is a company that makes an override for it which I installed for $200 and works. Has to do with the emissions BS they put on these engines.
