BHC
So just about a year ago, I had my routine blood test and it showed my ALT levels off the charts over 100 normal levels are 7-56. So my MD sent me to a liver specialist. What is ALT? An alanine transaminase (ALT) blood test measures the level of ALT, an enzyme found in the liver, in your blood. When liver cells are damaged, they release ALT into the bloodstream, and increased ALT levels can indicate liver injury or disease. ALT blood tests are often part of a liver panel or routine blood screening to check liver health, and may also help diagnose or monitor liver problems. So she looked over my medication list which helped with the cervical, shoulder, and nerve issues I have. I was very concerned cause my brother-in-law had a liver transplant so that is in the back of my mind. Well after a few months, she sent me for another blood test, and the numbers came down slightly but still way up, I don't drink, smoke, or do drugs I eat healthy and balanced meals occasionally I cheat but not enough to cause these issues. I went for blood work in March numbers came down but still well about the norm. Well, this morning I went to the hospital for blood work and the results of ALT dropped way down into a normal range of 17. The only level that was below normal was my protein she called me and said to drink some protein shakes and eat some beef (venison of course) so now under the doctor's order I think I will grill a tomahawk tomorrow Rjtfd, Silkcitymedic and Otter 2

Tarhunt
My ALT was very high as well and I had a liver biopsy. Not fun. I had to change my diet and cut down on drinking and my levels went back to normal.
