Three types:

white flash is just that just like an everyday camera, shows the best detail/picture at night but if the game is too close to the camera you will get a whiteout picture as it reflects off the said game. The verdict is out if the Flash Spooks game

infrared red on the camera you can see a small red light flash night pictures are good enough to show detail, game at time will investigate the camera or at the very least look at the camera as they see that red light flash, but not enough to spook them

black flash is no flash seen by game or people. there is a flash but it's behind a filter lens, pictures at night aren't as detailed as the other two types but none the less good enough to show you enough and

Out of the three I tend to go for the black flash, the current camera I have out now over minerals is a IR

Most will say no.

Personally an old buck that’s been hunted half his life and lives in the woods may not be spooked but definitely weary to it as he will know something is out of place.

But if your camera makes a tick sound I have a video of a buck walking up to a camera and just as it gets close it looks at it and runs. maybe something else but it was a older buck and I firmly believe it could see the red or hear it

Exspecially cameras at ground level

I had 2 infrared cameras watching the same spot.  Every time one went off the other would capture the deer running away, but not the other way around.  It's more than just the flash of a camera that will spook them.  I like the no glow / black flash and hang them farther away, about 20ft, up high watching trails with no bait.  The bear will still find them but I'm not getting deer looking at them.  Using bait will make them more aware.  Mature bucks will spook easier than young bucks.
