Bought many guns from Jackson Sporting Goods, Stan and his son Neal, both good guys, I think Neal shot at a guy that was trying to hold them up one time, store turned to shxt when Neal sold store to ex-cop, nothing against cops but this guy was a real J/O, if you're not buying out of the store, wife was nice, she handled the fishing section.

I had been going to the Sportsman Center since the time they first opened in the early 70s. Continued to go there on a regular basis right til the end since I always lived not far from it. Never went to the other two shops. The Sportsman Center’s owners son still operates a Liberty Safe shop out of the same building.

Jackson sporting goods.... bought many a gun there. Neal was cool. Gave discounts to us kids so we'd stay in the outdoors.

The shanty.....  they were the best. Give us free shiners to fish. I'd go in there with $2.50 in change. Looking to buy a box of high brass small game loads. Box was $4.00. The old lady " Bee " would say take the box and come back to pay them the balance.

Real shame mom n pop places like that gone.

LET EM GO SO HE CAN GROW
