The only doe I had hitting the minerals last year had 2 fawns in June,  1 in July,  and none in August.  I get more pictures of bears, coyotes, and bobcats than I do deer.

Had a doe with 2 fawns on camera then a bear and the looked like the same doe with 1 fawn the next day.  Bobcats and coyotes in the area too.

Checked cams this morning.  One spot had a few doe but only one fawn between them.  Think it was hiding near the camera because it showed up by itself a few times and other times it was running past.  The other cam had a doe with 2 fawns(maybe the same two i mentioned before) and another doe with 1 fawn.  The must be hiding nearby too because they showed up a couple times without the doe

Some recent results of surveys claim 65-75%  of fawns no longer make it through August .

way too much pressure from predators .

Those that do  survive are fawns from older does .
