Looking for catfish

Not sure why but my 4 year old has been hounding me to catch catfish. I guess he’s sick of trout.  Anyone know of any little ponds that have lots of catfish around Warren county?  Ironically enough we’re trying catfish pond this weekend. Maybe the name has some meaning to it.

Spruce run is a good catfish lake . That can be shore fished 

 

Delaware river is also very good

Wherever you can find a public beach on the Delaware River, I used to do it in Columbia area 1/8 14 oz  egg sinkers 4 ft above a a a little Black swifle on the bottom number 4 hook night fishing nightcrawlers. Eels too.

Tell your daughter no  boogie men Daddy's here!! Lol

I used  to take my son to Kittatiny state park. The bridge over over  the outflow( as you go to the airport) always had catfish( and snapping turtles). Drfit a piece of hot dog under the bridge.  Those were the days!( he’s 22 now)
