Clouser minnow running upside down-Why?

Hey all; did a little bass fishing yesterday in a local reservoir and noticed that my clouser tended to be swimming upside-down about half the time. Is there a a way to avoid or minimize this? Was I tying it on wrong?

Most likely, pic of your clouser will tell us

I agree. Send a pic. Could have to do with the proportions of the material and if they were tied incorrectly.

Yes clouser rides hook up

Yes, that’s correct hence the dumbbell eyes on the bottom of the hook.  Hook point up.

Tie it on jig hook.
