BothBarrels
Yup ... no big deal at all. Didn't feel a thing. Mine was also done through the wrist ... making the whole thing that much easier and quicker. I'm wide-awake laying there ... watching the big monitor ... looking at my heart beating away ... watching the instrument rooting around inside my heart ... and my cardiologist and I are talking about the strombolis down at Rutgers' StuffYerFace as he's doing it. Modern medicine is amazing stuff. lol Don't give the procedure another thought. JD48, Rusty, toxo and 1 other 3

Piece of cake, wish you the best of luck. I have 4 stents all done different times, all through the wrist. Ive joked to my wife Im going to get an "enter here" tattoo. They will give you a good sedative and away you go. Just so you are prepared they will also shave your groin area just incase they need to go in that way, its usually cold in the room, at least where I went, so little elvis and all.... Again, best of luck, feel free to reach out if you have any questions. Im a veteran of the procedure. JD48

Bucksnbows
Piece of cake. Did mine nearly 11 years ago. But I had a funny episode in that the Doctor told the nurse to give me the sedative via IV push which she did. He came back in a few minutes later and engaged me in small talk assuming I would be nodding off by then, but I was feeling completely normal. He began to give the nurse some sh*t about not giving me the sedative until both she and I confirmed it was given. He then turns to look at me down on the table and says, "Oh, you're one of those patients". He then told the nurse to give me a second dose and I woke up when it was done never knowing they even started. But no stents for me, I needed a quadruple bypass and a mechanical aortic valve replacement due to damage from radiation treatments 19 year previous to my open heart. BothBarrels
So, some of you guys were under anesthesia during the procedure? I was wide awake ... watching and talking. I had no stent implanted or anything. Maybe that's why? 1 hour ago, Bucksnbows said: ... I did not enjoy reading that. That whole thing must have been a long, hard ordeal for you. Well, so glad you came out the other side, though. bob kudile
i had my first baloon in the grion at morristown hospital. i was woodckuck hunting in pa. and on the way home i stoped at arthers steak house and it started. they called the ambulance. a cop came and i told him to call the wife and i had guns in my truck. two days later i went to the police station to get my guns and they would not give them back. we went around and around and the chief steped up and gave them back. my son and i left and picked up my secound gsp pup. since then i had a bunch of baloons one was a tripel header. after that they switched to stents all in the grion. the last one was a one nighter. i told the doc i wanted to go home and see dallas on tv good deal go home. the last one i had was in the wrist that night a guy came in the room to take me for an xray. on the way back to my room he asked me if i wanted to get fixed up with a hot nurse. go with the wrist. the baloon made me puke, the stents are ok the wrist is the way to go.
