Thresher fishing

Wondering if anyone’s heard of any threshers caught yet, might run out this weekend and try some typical spots, got two new talica 50s to put the the test

It's about that time. I heard something, some were seen but was just hear say as it was word through someone else. I'm going to go for seabass on Friday but due plan on bringing a 30 or 50 for them. Good luck

I had a 50 out for them last Saturday and nothing, but it’s time so I will be going for them whenever I can

I have never done a shark specific trip. 

 

Do you just hit the regular inshore tuna spots and chum? Or can you get them more inshore.

You can get em right off the beach if the time is right, they seem to like ledges structure and most importantly where bait is, if baits there chances are there’s not one far behind

Those Talica 50s are fine reels. I have not heard of any caught yet. I usually fish w 3 rods.....60 out & down, 40 out & down, 20 out & down (or 90, 60, 30) depending on boat size.  Buy blood from a slaughterhouse and chum bag. Pretty simple fishing. June 1 usually is start of it.
