I gave up yesterday. Havnt heard a gobble in 14 since B wk. Guna be real  interesting to see how far the harvest #s fell for that zone…used to be a premier zone. Should’ve realized it when I saw the permit applications take a dive for 14 past 2 yrs but needed to observe it w my own eyes n ears I guess.

Just called in two Jake’s that were gobbling their heads off. Now hear another gobble in the distance. Maybe it’s a better one?

That's awesome I'm jealous.

Hopefully you git er done early, if not don't forget you can hunt till sunset.

My spots have dried up. I haven't sniffed a gobbler last week and this week (I did lose a day because of the bad back). Yesterday I saw a hen. That's about all I got so far. I'll give it a go tomorrow and Friday, but I have a feeling I'm getting skunked D period.

I gave up.  NJ was a bust for me.  Saw a Tom across a field during B week but it never got closer than 300 yards.  Then in E, I had a bearded hen come to my calling within 25 yards.  Still good to be in the Spring woods.

9” Beard

1” right

1 1/8” left

18.97 lbs

Had gobbling all morning from different birds. Had two Jake’s come in but Toms never came close. Made a few moves circled back to other side of high hay field. Heard gobble way in the distance and heard a hen. Did few excited cuts and hen start cutting and yelping. She circled and kept cutting cause I pissed her off. Gobbler started going off right behind her. I told my son give few purrs and two clucks on glass and I yelped at same time and that was the final straw. He went nuts she got pissed and she came to 5 yards. Thought she was going to bust us. He stayed at 15 gobbling his head off. As she started to walk away I was able to get my sight on him and that’s all she wrote. Great end to the season.
