Although it's quite early according to the calendar - there were some shad caught in Easton lately, and some decent catches down around Lambertville from what I have heard.  I generally fish between Dingmans's and Bushkill and historically looking back since 1978, I can catch them as early as first week of April if the water temps and levels cooperate.

 

I am making some custom shad darts as I write this...     If anyone wants additional shad fishing information or advice - please ask me, I have many years of experience and would love to share.

Haha - I always have my best fishing just south of Dingman's, the last two weeks of April (in terms of numbers). May is good too.

 

There have been a few caught in Easton already and further south, but it is very early and I wont' think about it just yet, especially with it turning colder over the weekend. I might consider Easton 3/26...
