New Guy Question.......Tomorrow

Question......with rain ending and cooler temps what do the expereinced turkey hunters think about tomorrow AM?  I am assuming they will be more active after the lousy weather

Birds will be wet and grump. Like @rocky

They will generally be less vocal when wet. 

If it's raining they will head for some open areas. The pitter patter of rain prevents them from hearing the foxes and yotes.

Turkeys do what turkeys do when turkeys feel like doing what turkeys want to do when they feel like doing it. It's that simple.

You ain't going to have any action if you ain't in the woods.

The birds are still there, even if they are silent.  Be patient, call sporadically and wait.

Can never tell.  Turkeys will do what they do.  
 

I have had lots of luck on open fields after all day rains the day before though.  I think they like to get in the open and dry out to be honest.  I’ll be hunting PA in the morning on a farm.  Turkeys are there but no telling what might happen.

Probably will be quiet, but that has been the theme lot of this spring. Just hunt sign and sit tight. Light calling, scratch leaves. Keep your head on a swivel.

Everyone keeps taking about fields and high grass so look into plowed fields or low cut corn  now

 

I spend alot of time driving around turkey 12 today.   I saw dozens of huge dirt fields or soon to be plowed low fields and a bunch of knee high grass fields 

 

I saw zero birds.  I agree with the theoey but that beautiful area didn’t seem to hold many birds

I killed a bird during a tropical storm once.

I couldn't hear him with the wind and rain blowing but every time I called, I could see his neck shoot out.

He was soaked and he still came in.

Ya just never know
