5/6/24 Checkin.

I have my C - tag -- but was in in New York this Morning.  I heard 1 Bird in a popular  Public Piece. He Gobbled 3 Times in 15 minutes and marched out of the Field and back into the Swamp.

 0 for 14 Mornings. I will just keep going out until my Luck Changes.

 Anyone else go out this Morning?

Got my first one ! Been chasing them for a couple years but have yet to connect (almost did last year but got busted drawing my bow). Decided to get out with the shotgun. Called him in from about 100 yards or so.. 25 yard shot, he dropped! 
 

im pretty excited about this, since I picked up alpha gal from a tick I haven’t ate red meat in a few years ( so now I give my deer meat away). This will be my the  “harvest” I can enjoy in a couple years

I don't go on the weekends.  Was the only one there until another guy showed up just before I left.

Out all am in 12, no am gobbles nearby, no birds seen except on drive home.  Pretty sure I heard a single nearby cluck right after sunrise but nothing showed.

Congrats... put in the time and success comes... but sorry about the alpha gal... one more reason to hate ticks - but that one has to be one of the worst reasons!

Now you are making me want to go spritz some more permethrin on my hunting clothes...
